In June 2013, my husband had DBS and it changed his life completely, Just before DBS, he was retired on medical grounds, and he could no longer write on the board or speak audibly. An open distance learning university took him up, and before long he was almost losing his job. After DBS surgery his contract was renewed without any debate. He has since supervised more than 50 master’s students and more than 10 Ph.D. students successfully. He has been able to participate and contribute to the committee and general meetings.
When the time to change the pacemaker came, we were not sure of the results. We choose the 25 years spam battery, immediately after he woke up from the operation theater, we witness a complete change. No more dyskinesia, walking up straight & now we are happy.
